The Board of Trustees may award honorary associate’s degrees to individuals whom the Board determines have made significant contributions to the college, district, region, state or nation.
- Any individual or constituent group from the college may nominate to the president candidates for honorary associate’s degrees. Nominations for a degree should be submitted no later than three months before the date such a degree would be conferred.
- Criteria to support such a nomination will include, but not be limited to, the following:
The nominee must:- have made an outstanding contribution to the college, district, region, state or nation.
- be a first-time recipient of this degree.
- The nomination will include a biographical description and a complete explanation of why this individual is worthy of this honor.
- The president will submit the nominations to the Board of Trustees for approval.
